Meals on Wheels works to deliver healthy meals to the homebound who are unable to afford or prepare meals for themselves and to provide a reassuring 'check-in' to those who live alone. There is also a great potential they will be able to help serve SFFC host families meals in the first few days of a hosting to provide one more measure of hospitality.
The Red Truck Ministry is a ministry of Jesus Christ that seeks to provide healthy food for those in need and provide the spiritual food of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry will focus on areas that are identified as food deserts: high poverty; lack of transportation; lack of access to healthy foods. We hope to provide fresh fruits and vegetables, when in season. Canned fruits, vegetables, meat, canned tuna, baby food, peanut butter and other assorted canned goods.
